In my opinion, a well-executed time-lapse is one of the coolest things you can do with a camera. Since the iPhone camera has come so far in the past few years, it makes sense for people to develop an iOS app that can cater to this time-lapse functionality in a simple and straightforward fashion. I have compiled a list with 5 of the best time-lapse iOS apps which I have included below:

iLapse

iLapse advertises to give you access to “professional grade time lapse video” capabilities. You can choose to have the app take the photos (at a configurable interval) and compile them automatically into an HD video or you can use “camera” mode to have the app capture high-res images over a period of time and you can do the compilation on your own post production software.

TimeLapse gives iOS owners a chance to capture epic time-lapse shots with an incredible amount of simplicity. Once you've captured your desired images, TimeLapse will compile the video for you and even let you add an audio track to the final video. TimeLapse can utilize both your front and rear cameras.

Lapse It Pro allows you to capture amazing time-lapse and stop motion videos. This app has won multiple awards and is highly regarded by the app store's customer ratings. It comes feature packed and personally, I find the user interface to be the most appealing and intuitive compared to the competitors in this category.

Frameographer

Frameographer also gives you the ability to capture both time-lapse and stop motion videos. Notable features include the ability to capture/export in HD quality, a built-in low-light boost mode (iPhone 5 only), and you can add a soundtrack with any song from your iTunes Library.

iTimeLapse Pro

iTimeLapse Pro is a simple way to create stunning time-lapse and stop motion videos which you can share straight through the app. Sharing options include Facebook, Vimeo, email, and camera roll exporting. An interesting feature about iTimelapse Pro is that it allows you to capture both stills and audio using their sound capture technology.
