For most people who own a MacBook, there are times where you'll want to have your computer stay awake even though the lid (screen) is shut or in the closed position. While Apple's automatic sleep feature is convenient and useful for saving on battery life while on-the-go, the fact that you cannot natively turn this feature of is a real hassle.
Fortunately, there is a piece of freeware available for Mac users that can take care of this issue and allow you to turn off this auto-sleep technology quickly and easily! The software is called NoSleep (available from MacUpdate free of charge) and is compatible with Mac OS X 10.6.6 including Mountain Lion. This should solve your auto-sleep problems with ease!
Have another solution or piece of software that can solve this problem? Feel free to share them in the comments!
