Twitch Now Lets You Gift Your Friends A 1-Month Subscription

Since Amazon's acquisition of popular video gaming streaming service, Twitch, the platform has grown considerably and added excellent perks for viewers who also have Amazon Prime. One of the prominent features of being a Twitch user is the ability to ‘subscribe' to your favorite gamer for as low as $5 per month.

While a gesture like this helps support the streamer who's free entertainment is enjoyable, you also get some benefits back unlike a standard ‘donation' through Twitch. For example, being subscribed grants you the use of emotes personalized to the streamer of choice of which you can utilize in chat throughout the Twitch platform.

Depending on the streamer, subscriptions can also grant you access to exclusive giveaways or the ability to play alongside favorite streamer during subscriber games.

With the holidays quickly approaching, Twitch has decided to open up a new ability to their users, and that is gift subscription. If you know one of your friends is a big Shroud or Dr. Disrespect fan yet doesn't have the cash to dish out a subscription, you can now give them a gift of a 1-month of $4.99, $9.99 or $24.99 tier subscriptions.

Don't worry, they won't auto-renew although your recipient will have the ability to extend their subscription past the 1-month at their own cost if they wish to.
