Sony's PS4 isn't the only thing to be excited about in the near future. The electronics company has just announced their new product called the SmartWatch 2, which is intended to give Android device owners a new way to interact with their phone or tablet.

It features a large 1.6-inch touch display (220 x 176 resolution), aluminum body, and is dust/water-resistant which makes it suitable for the wear and tear that the smartwatch will experience throughout use. The SmartWatch 2 also features NFC and Bluetooth 3.0 support that can pair with compatible devices running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or higher. The battery life is said to last up to four days with moderate use, but those who use it less could potentially see up to 7 days worth of power in some cases.
The SmartWatch 2's release date and pricing details are not known at this time, but rumors are circulating hinting at a global launch happening sometime this September. Stay tuned for more details as they are released!
