SmallHD Releases Firmware 2.2 For 500 & 700 Series Monitors

SmallHD has been a driving force in the cinematography market, producing some of the highest quality field monitors at prices most could have only dreamt of. With the launch of their 502HD last year at NAB and their most recent 700 series line, the company had been anticipating the release of a new firmware update to fix some bugs and finally offer a functional vectorscope tool.

This morning, SmallHD added firmware 2.2 to the downloads section on their website and sent out an email blast to existing 500 and 700 series owners reminding them to update their units. Of course, the software update is free and can be carried out in just a few minutes by transferring the firmware files to an SD card and loading it into your monitor.
