The launch of Sigma's ART Series has been a massive success for the company with a premium build and optical quality that often matches or surpasses that of Canon, Nikon, or Sony's native offerings. These models are good enough to lure professional photographers go purchase third-party glass and I recently picked up two ART models for my own photo and video needs.
As of yesterday, Sigma has announced a new zoom model which is scheduled to be released shortly. This model offers an 24-35mm range while maintaining a fast f/2 constant aperture similar to that of their popular 18-35mm f/1.8 option. Fortunately, this 24-35mm option is made with full-frame use in mind meaning that it will not vignette on bodies with a sensor larger than APS-C like the 18-35mm does.
Those interested in picking up the 24-35mm, this lens will be offering in Nikon F, Canon EF and Sigma SA mounts to start. The company hasn't released any details pertaining to pricing or shipment date although I would expect this information to be released within the coming weeks.
