Last month at CES 2014, Samsung unveiled their Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 tablet which upped the bar in the tablet world due to its 12.2 inch screen size and increased specs. Prior to this model, mainstream tablet models have stayed around 10.6 inches or under so this was a bold move by Samsung which could spark a new trend among manufacturers.
The Note Pro 12.2 includes impressive specs (see below) that coupled with the 12.2″ display could make it a serious contender for replacing a traditional laptop computer. The device has been available for pre-order in the UK for the past week (ships tomorrow), but Samsung has been waiting to offer it stateside. This morning, Office Depot's online store outed February 13th as the official release and began taking pre-orders for the oversized device.
The 64GB WiFi Black model starts at $850 with no further details on how much the LTE version will retail for. Office Depot also began taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 and it's priced $200 less than the Note Pro 12.2 while sharing the same February 13th release.
