A failing BlackBerry took another stab at the smartphone market with their revamped Z10 and Q10 models following several disappointing years of declining sales. Since the ‘Z10' model was a moderate success and has been on the market for around 6 months now, BlackBerry has been working on their next ‘Z' model which is rumored to be called the ‘Z30' in hope for a fall release.

Though this new model is unconfirmed by BlackBerry themselves, rumors have speculated among the tech industry for the past few weeks leading up to an interested video that is going viral today of what appears to be a BlackBerry Z30 demo model. The video is found on the YouTube channel ‘Cellphone S' which is a Vietnamese channel that focuses on smartphone reviews, comparisons, and news.

Since the video is in English and I don't know a word of Vietnamese, I really have no clue what is being said within the video (embedded below), but the footage shows what seems to be the new BlackBerry Z3o (demo model). The smartphone shown in the video looks to have the rumored 5-inch AMOLED display with a native resolution of 1,280 x 720 (aka 720p).

Other features the Z30 is expected to have include:

  • Dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor
  • Front-facing 2MP camera,
  • Rear 8MP camera,
  • 2,800 mAh battery
  • 2GB RAM
  • 16GB internal storage
  • BlackBerry 10.2 OS

Keep in mind this model is still in the rumor stage and the device shown in the video is NOT confirmed to actually be the Z30 though it sure does look convincing. Stay tuned for any further information on the new BlackBerry models as more information is announced or leaked!
