‘Prince’ Pulls Music From Major Online Streaming Services

Prince has entertained millions of fans for over 35 years with his unique style and catchy lyricism. This morning the artist abruptly pulled his entire streamable media from popular services like Spotify, Apple Music and Rdio.

In a statement taken from Prince's Spotify artist page:

“Prince's publisher has asked all streaming services to remove his catalog. We have cooperated with the request, and hope to bring his music back as soon as possible.”

As of now, both Google Play and Tidal remain to offer Prince's music although this has the potential to change shortly. Without much explanation given, we assume Prince made this decision with plans to renegotiate a better rate with the major streaming services before his music is made available again for public listening.
