Blizzard has taken the FPS gaming world by storm with their popular title Overwatch which remains at the top of Twitch's audience charts. While Overwatch isn't free to play such as their MOBA Heroes of the Storm, it has a pretty low cost of entry priced at $39.99 for the standard PC version or $59.99 for the Origins Edition. Further DLC has already been added for no additional charge including a new hero Ana in addition to a new castle map dubbed Eichenwald.
Despite this, there are gamers who are on a lower budget and either can't afford or don't want to spend the cash on Overwatch so a company called Hi-Rez Studios has decided to step in and help out. They created a free to play title called Paladins of the Realm which appears to be a very close rip-0ff of Blizzard's FPS with a few small differences.
There is an argument to be made that Overwatch is not 100% original, but merely a rip-off of Team Fortress. I can definitely see that argument, but Team Fortress is a much older title that isn't as refined or unique compared to the gaming standards of today and just doesn't harness the competitive standard that Overwatch has already reached.
You can see a humorous, sarcastic introduction to this title from YouTube ‘videogamedunkey' below:
Judging from the launch trailer below, it seems there are near direct imitations of characters like McCree, Pharah, Soldier, Hanzo, Junkrat, Mei, Torbjorn, Widowmaker, Roadhog, D.Va, and Reinhardt. The primary difference seems to be in the maps and the fact that you have a mount that can be toggled for quicker movement to and from battle much like in Heroes of the Storm.
