Nintendo Debuts ‘Super Mario Run’ & New ‘Switch’ Console On Jimmy Fallon

Nintendo has been making news recently first with the announcement of Super Mario finally making his way to iOS at Apple's iPhone event in September and recently with the sneak peek of their upcoming Switch console.

During last night's episode of The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, the President of Nintendo of America Reggie Fils-Aimé and Shigeru Miyamoto (creator of Mario and Zelda) were guests. Besides making the TV debut of Super Mario Run on iOS, Reggie gave Jimmy a surprise look at the new Switch console which was running The Legend of Zelda: Breathe Of The Wild.

In the clip, the console is demoed in both the docked mode (connected to an external display) as well as the “on the go” style handheld mode and the execution of this concept seems pretty fantastic.

Reggie stated Super Mario Run will debut on iOS on December 15th and the Nintendo Switch console will launch in March 2017 with more information being released on January 12th.
