This morning, the Nikon team unveiled a beautiful new model, the Nikkor 105mm f/1.4E ED Lens, to their competitive Nikkor line-up. While it hasn't officially hit the market yet, it has already set a world record as the fastest 105mm lens model to date, surpassing the company's previous Nikon Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G model by a full two stops.
The Nikkor 105mm f/1.4E ED lens is designed to accommodate both full-frame and crop sensor bodies with a minimum focusing distance of 1m, harnesses 14 optical elements in 9 groups with 9 rounded aperture blades. It offers an 82mm front filter thread with dimensions measuring in at 3.72″ by 4.17″ and weighing 2.17 lbs.
