Netflix has introduced a new feature for subscribers who enjoy the service's streaming content via a PS3 console. “Max” is a new virtual assistant, who can be used to help you find new content based on your previously watched movies or tv shows. Max is witty and spices up the Netflix interface with hope that it will cause subscribers to watch and engage with more content each month.
As of right now, Max has only launched for PS3 users located within the U.S. though a Netflix representative did say that Max will be continually improved and eventually be rolled out to other devices in the future. Sources say that the iPad will be the next device in line to be given the virtual assistant, but not for at least another 6 months.
