Minecraft Now Available On The PS3 With PS Vita & PS4 Versions Expected For 2014

The popular first person world constructing game has officially been released on PS3 as of this morning. Minecraft is currently $19.99 on Xbox 360, but the Playstation 3 version is sure to give the game much more bounds as the 360 version was limited by RAM.

Minecraft will now have more gameplay alternatives outside of the traditional PC version. The PS4 and PS Vita are also expected to get a Minecraft port sometime in 2014 although no further details are known at this time.

It will be interesting to see how Minecraft on different gaming platforms will compare to the its success on PC. As of right now, it is not known if the title will be cross-compatible or feature any remote play options. You can expect downloadable skins and texture packs to be released for the PS3 version in the near future so stay tuned!
