We previously had covered iFixit's breakdown of the new iMac, but this time around they took on the task of breaking down Microsoft's Surface Pro tablet. The end result was a disappointing score of 1 out of 10, the lowest possible repairability score a device can receive. According to iFixit, the Surface Pro's screen was kept together with a type of glue that was “the most adhesive we have ever seen on a small device”. Additionally the inside of the tablet revealed 90 small screws and yet again more glue to keep the battery in place. Inside the team did find a battery that ranks better than found inside the iPad 4 and an extensive system designed to keep the tablet nice and cool at all times.
