Grand Theft Auto V was the highest grossing video game in the past five years although its unfortunate timing kept it from being an early option for next-gen gamers. Since its release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Rockstar has been working diligently to port the game over to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The next-gen version will offer updated graphics, new in-game content, and even a “first-person” mode which will be a first for the Grand Theft Auto franchise.
A sneak peek at the first person experience was uploaded to YouTube yesterday via Rockstar's official YouTube account. From the looks of it, the first person point of view brings a refreshingly new feel to the traditionally 3rd-person gameplay, and this new perspective is available both while on foot or in a vehicle.
Unfortunately, it seems that the graphics aren't much better based off the trailer alone. While the environments are detailed and look great thanks to dynamic lighting effects, the character, gun and vehicle models still leave much to be desired especially when viewed from a first-person perspective.
Grand Theft Auto V is now available for pre-order and will be released on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC come November 18th.
