Google's $35 Chromecast has won over many consumers, offering impressive streaming benefits without a high price-tag. One of the largest complaints with the device however has been its limited variety of compatible apps to date. Google has confirmed today that Redbox Instant can be added to this growing list of compatible apps so subscribers to the premium service can now push their movies to a bigger screen with ease. While the selection within Redbox Instant's offerings is surely lacking when compared to Netflix or Hulu Plus, it is still a step forward as any new apps coming to the Chromecast are a good sign which paves the way more to come in the future.
