Many Millennials like myself grew up watching John Stamos and Bob Saget on the family sitcom, Full House. While it has been long rumored, a spin-off series dubbed Fuller House will be making its way to Netflix as a 13-episode original series sometime next year.
Last night while a guest on Late Night With Jimmy Kimmel, Stamos confirmed the rumors and claimed he had just finalized the deal with the popular streaming network earlier that day. While the full cast is expected to make cameos within the series, it won't be a regular occurrence to see the full Tanner gang throughout each episode.
Netflix has been notorious for reviving old hit series by way of new original seasons (Arrested Development) and using their popularity to drive new conversions to their service. It is a bold move to attempt a series spin-off 20 years after it went off the air, but the gamble may be worth it this could be another big win for the streaming service.
