With Facebook Home officially having made its way to the Android, there are some great perks coming to U.S. Android users as a result. Facebook is officially rolling free VOIP calling to those who are running Facebook Home and Android Messenger apps. We previously covered the initial launch of the iOS VOIP service back in January and the Android version works in a similar fashion.

In order to make a free VOIP call, you must click the “i” icon on your friends profile and then select the “free call” button. Keep in mind, I expect the only way to make these free calls using Facebook will require your friends to enter their phone number in publicly. The update should be released by the end of the day  and is not expected to require a manual update.
