The Elder Scrolls Online is one of the most anticipated titles yet to launch in the 2013 calendar year. Initially unveiled as strictly a PC title, Bethesda Softworks has come out with a new announcement stating the Elder Scrolls Online will also launch on the Xbox One and PS4 consoles in the future. The next-gen console releases are not expected to happen until Spring 2014 in comparison to the December 31st, 2013 release of the PC version.

Sony mentioned that they will be offering a beta of the Elder Scrolls Online exclusively on the PlayStation 4 though the details of how to gain eligibility for this beta have yet to be released. Bethesda spoke about the title at E3 and stated the game will feel very similar to their earlier RPG titles like Skyrim or Oblivion including the combat system and fighting styles. This is good news for longtime Elder Scrolls fans whom have grown to love the gameplay and design that Bethesda has crafted into their previously released titles.

The Elder Scrolls Online is now available for pre-order on the PC.
