E3 2015: Xbox One Will Soon Offer Backwards Compatibility

Phil Spencer made a major announcement concerning the Xbox One during the Xbox keynote at E3 and the crowd going wild over the news. When this feature launches around the holiday season, there will be support for over 100 Xbox 360 titles with further expansion of lineup as time goes on.

It will work for 360 games in both the digital and physical form meaning that you'll be able to download digital titles on your Xbox One automatically or insert your physical 360 game disk to queue a download of a digital version of that title. Unlike Sony's PlayStation Now service, Microsoft “won't charge you to play the games you already own.”
