AT&T experienced a rocky start to their DirecTV Now launch, but have since improved the reliability and performance of the streaming service. While it does offer some enticing channel packages for the price, many users are still disappointed with the lack of advanced features.
Yesterday, the company teased some competitive functions coming to DirecTV Now as of this Fall as part of their “your content on your terms” initiative. The next generation video platform will offer the highly anticipated cloud DVR functionality as well as a new interface (highly warranted from our experience).
Beyond these changes, DirecTV Now will offer live TV pausing, parental controls, user profiles, offline downloads and even 4K HDR support by the end of 2018.
