Bungie is most known for their role in the development of Halo 1, 2, & 3 which have all gone on to become massive successes. Their crosshairs have then shifted to their upcoming project, Destiny which is a next-gen, first-person shooter that offers online multiplayer, RPG action in an open world setting. The game has already broken records due to the massive budget of $500 million thus making it the most expensive game in history to develop.
At this year's E3 conference, Bungie gave consumers a preview of the title's gameplay and overall concept with a promise that an open beta will launch in the near future. Luckily, we won't have to wait long for this beta as Bungie has confirmed the beta will be available on July 17th for PS4 owners and July 23rd for the Xbox One and 360.
Additionally, Sony has partnered with Bungie to offer a limited edition PS4 bundle that includes a “glacier white” PS4, the Destiny title, and a free 30-day trial to the PS Plus service. Destiny has also been confirmed to be the first title that will take advantage of the PS4's new pre-loading feature for titles that have been pre-ordered digitally.
If you like what you see and want to reserve a copy of Destiny ahead of the official release on September 9th, it is available for pre-order through Amazon, Best Buy, and Gamestop. Each pre-order grants access to the beta as well as exclusive content that can be unlocked after the full game has been released.
