Blizzard's new first-person shooter title, Overwatch, has been in a closed beta for the past few months though regarded highly by gamers due to its unique gameplay characteristics and surprisingly refined audio/visual experience. Starting today at 4 PM PST or 7 PM EST, Blizzard will unleash the ‘early access' floodgates for the beta to anyone who has pre-ordered the title before its official May 24th release.
If you haven't pre-ordered the title yet, you can try to scoop a ‘friend code' from someone who already pre-ordered the title as those who qualify are each given an early-access code to share with a friend or family member. If you are out of luck with that and don't want to pre-order the title yourself, you can wait it out until the open, all-access beta begins on May 5th.
The Open beta will remain in effect in all regions until Monday, May 9th at 10 AM PST when it will officially shut down until the scheduled May 24th release date.
