The BlackBerry Z10 began being offered to consumers back in March, but only a few months later the prices have just been slashed significantly in an attempt to liquidate their inventory and recoop some money after reporting an $84 million loss last quarter.
A representative of BlackBerry told the Wall Street Journal:
“Now is the right time to adjust the price, it's part of life cycle management to tier the pricing for current devices to make room for the next ones.”
Does this mean a 2nd generation Z10 model is in the works or planning to be sold in the near future? It seems likely to be the case.
