The ‘Batman: Arkham VR’ Trailer Shows Off The Future Of VR

It's no secret that virtual reality will play a significant role in the future of video games although there haven't been many compelling titles that go beyond the initial “cool” factor into a more relatable video game experience. Yet with the next-generation of consoles and PC graphics cards now offering native support for virtual reality, this is expected to change.

One title that I'm particularly excited about is Batman: Arkham VR which takes the Batman game franchise developed by Rocksteady Games, engulfing the player into a full virtual experience. While the title is slated for an October 2016 release, we are still in the dark as to what the game will exactly entail.

Fortunately, an official teaser trailer was released earlier today showcasing a few cutscenes in addition to interviews with attendees at Comic-Con: San Diego who were lucky enough to be within the 500 chosen to experience the title in its current pre-release stage.

Those interested in pre-ordering Batman: Arkham VR can do so and reserve a copy via Amazon. Keep in mind, Sony has scored the exclusive rights so Arkham VR will only be playable by way of PlayStation VR. Sorry Microsoft gamers!
