When Apple announced their professional-grade iMac Pro, many creative professionals were interested in the device even though the company seemed to lose their attempt to cater to this high-end demographic. Initial estimates showed the iMac Pro shipping before the end of 2017 and Apple has decided they will officially launch this model on Thursday, December 14th.
The exact configuration options are not released at this time, but their base model starts at $4,999 and includes an 8-core Xeon processor, 1TB SSD, 32GB of RAM and a Radeon Vega Pro GPU with 8GB of dedicated VRAM. While it might not be offered at launch, we do know that Apple will offer upgrades to an 18-core Xeon processor, 128GB of RAM, a 4TB SSD and Vega GPU with 16GB of VRAM.
