It was only a matter of time before Apple released an iPad app which allowed you to buy physical goods from their online store right through the flagship device. This morning, the official Apple Store iPad app finally debuted, three years after the launch of the iPhone version.
The app is of course free to download via the App Store and provides iPad users with the ability to shop for Mac, iPad, iPhone, and iPod products as well as the typical accessories you'd find on the shelves of physical Apple Store locations. After choosing your product of choice, consumers are given the option to enter a shipping address through the app or simply check to see if their closest Apple Stores have the item in-stock.
The developers have produced the app in a way that looks stunning on the iPad's Retina display and resembles an expensive catalog with a glossy finish to it. Each product has high quality images that can be swiped or pinched to allow a closer look. Overall, the app is well designed and just might convince you to spend even more money with the technology giant.
