Yesterday, the official announcement was made, and we got our first glimpse of the Kindle Oasis, an elegant and clever designed device that may only be potentially plagued by its enormous price-tag.

The display still offers the same 300 ppi as the previous generation Paperwhite and Voyage models but is said to utilize panel improvements for crisper, laser-like text quality and still works in direct sunlight. The backlight has been further enhanced to automatically adjust to your viewing environment making for perfect reading and improved battery efficiency.
