Amazon is rather experienced in the world of original video content having been responsible for the Emmy-winning show, Transparent. We have previously discussed their unique approach to original content which usually results in several pilot episodes made available for streaming while letting their audience ultimately decide which series is given the green light for a full-scale production.
The e-commerce giant will debut their pilot episodes via Amazon Prime Video on August 19th, yet they have also made a bold decision to stream The Tick and two other pilot episodes on the popular video gaming streaming service Twitch of which they acquired for just under $1B in August of 2014. This event will take place on August 31st, and anyone can view them for free during this 24-hour period.
