Jeff Bezos is most noted for his role as the founder and CEO of Amazon, the world's largest online retailer, yet he is quite the business person with several acquisitions and investments into other avenues. One of these is the media outlet known as The Washington Post of which he acquired in 2013 for a reported $250M.
This purchase will now benefit Amazon Prime customers as those with a valid account will now be able to access a digital subscription to The Washington Post for six months, free of charge. After the six-month period is over, you can continue with a reduced subscription cost of $4 per month thus offering $6 in monthly savings compared to the standard $10/month rate for non-Prime subscribers.
