Amazon has come a long way with their Kindle devices and truly revolutionized the way we deal with digital books today. Their newest digital eBook program is called Kindle MatchBook which allows thousands of eligible print-edition books from the past, present, or future to be bought in the Kindle edition for $2.99, $1.99, $0.99, or even free. It is even possible for this program to cover qualifying book purchases made through Amazon way back in 1995!
The Kindle MatchBook program will launch this October and initially includes over 10,000 qualifying book titles that will be expected to expand greatly over time. The pricing and availability of titles in the MatchBook program rely on the publisher partners, whom are responsible for enrolling their own titles into the program as well as setting the price of the Kindle version.
