Amazon Prime subscribers received an email promotion this morning notifying them of exclusive discounts on Kindle products:
While this seems like a good deal on the current generation models, it is important to realize this likely means a refreshed Kindle with more competitive specs is soon to be released. To further confirm this theory, Amazon's CEO, Jeff Bezos, took to Twitter this morning to confirm the company's plans for a new Kindle release.
Heads up readers – all-new, top of the line Kindle almost ready. 8th generation. Details next week.

Prime members who don't mind scoring a deal on soon to be replaced Kindle Voyage model should scoop one up while you still can (promo says it is a limited-time only deal). For those like myself who prefer to have the latest and greatest then, you'll just have to wait until next week's announcement from Amazon.
