MaxCDN is an affordable content delivery network used to boost webpage speed.
As more and more websites flood into the Internet's the time it takes for your web page to load to your visitors is becoming increasingly important. There are many reasons for this, but two of the primary reasons are that Google is now taking page speed into their algorithm for ranking and also taking into consideration the dwindling amount of patience the average web surfer harnesses. The main suspect for a slow loading page is the fact that visitors from all over the world have to download your site's files from one location where your files are located (your web host's location). The further your visitors are from that location the longer it will take for them to load your webpage. If you are following along with what I am saying you likely see a major issue here.
I am happy to announce there is a solution to this major problem which involves using a content delivery network like MaxCDN to distribute your sites files to their various servers all across the globe. This ensures your visitors always have a close location to server your files from therefore greatly reducing the average page speed times. Services such as these are usually very costly, but MaxCDN offers a starter package allowing up to 1TB of bandwidth per year for a low price of $39.95 a year or $29.96 per year using the 25% coupon link above.
MaxCDN was founded in 2009 and is affiliated with the larger more expensive CDN service NetDNA. Both services are very well-known and reputable companies. You'd be surprised to hear some of the big name sites who use MaxCDN to deliver their static content to their readers. Some examples include Mashable (this speaks for itself), Garmin, WP-Engine, stackoverflow, and many others.
Through my research before purchasing the plan I saw very little negative feedback on the service besides a few people on a forum who claimed they had trouble getting their money back from their 30 day guarantee. Luckily, MaxCDN's customer support also posted on that forum with a follow up for those people and gave them a personal email to contact in order to sort the issue out.
I will say from some pretty extensive experience with their customer service thus far I am very impressed. I am tech savvy and pride myself on having a vast knowledge of technology from my previous experience working in IT, but when it comes to web server configuration I'll be the first to admit that it is not my strong point. The chat and email support are very qualified and timely in their response. Their chat support software is a bit glitchy so I'd lose my chat window randomly on occasion (which was a pain), but the support representatives themselves are very helpful.
In order to achieve full potential I even had one of their support members log into my site and configure W3 Total Cache (free wordpress plugin that supports MaxCDN) optimally. Considering I paid only $29.96 for a year of service, I'm surprised to see the staff be so helpful for no extra charge and factors such as this will ensure I will be a repeat customer for years to come.
Like I stated earlier this service is designed to download all your static files (such as images) and host them to your visitors via their closest server. The plans integrate within your existing web host and you can see the difference between the two plans below:
Since I had MaxCDN properly installed on my server the results have been pretty remarkable. My page load times have drastically decreased and my page speed scores have also increased. I think the results speak for themselves so I'm not going to go into much detail besides saying I'm extremely happy with the performance of MaxCDN thus far.
After purchasing the starter plan and implementing it with my website I am extremely pleased with MaxCDN's service. I have seen a significant increase in my web page performance and the price is very affordable. I HIGHLY suggest MaxCDN for anyone who is serious about their website's performance and I think it should be a mandatory purchase for anyone who is speculating whether or not they should buy it. With the 25% coupon supplied here there really is no valid reason why you shouldn't sign up for this service as truthfully it is worth at least 10x more than the $29.96 you will pay for the year. Think of the money as an investment into the future of your website and chances are you'll thank me later.
