If you defeat the bosses, including the end boss, by taking out their stamina instead of shooting them to death you will be given a bonus each time (such as new cammo or special weapons).
When battling helicopters, instead of using the huge mounted guns on the cliffs, use your sniper rifle and go for the pilot. Takes only one or two shots to take them out.
When climbing up the looooong ladder, after defeating "The End", hold the up climbing button constantly and listen to the theme song that will be playing. The game is set up so that the instant she finishes singing the song, you are done climbing.
Go through while trying to NOT to kill anyone. Sneak past the enemy, knock them out, or put them to sleep. If you do so, then when you fight "The Sorrow" the only ghost enemies you encounter will be the bosses you HAD to defeat (and the parrot of one boss, "The End"). Makes it much shorter and easier.
While battling "The Sorrow" every man you killed will show up. Interesting enough, even HOW you killed them shows. If you cut them, it shows. If you shoot them in private areas, they show up clutching it while yelling "Do you know how this feels?"
Save up your FAKE DEATH PILLS for the final boss. The first time fighting "The Boss" you will need around three.
Go through once trying to 'hold up' every single guard you can find. You will be amazed at what many of them will drop, including more Fake Death Pills.
I hope this helped you. If so, please show your support by voting.

Not much to say other than that this game is fricken awesome. And that if you like anything MGS, you are missing out on one of the best installments ever created for the franchise, if not THE best. Manual chamo, having to feed on the wild creatures and plants to survive, mending broken bones and wounds... you don't get much more survival than this, and it's great.
Get this wonderful thing if you don't have it... get it NAO.
1) Graphics - mouth-watering. The graphics are as good as it is going to get on this platform (PS2) and for that reason if you love graphics, this is a good game.
2) Gameplay- the radar, as we once knew it, is gone in MGS3! Now there is a new system called CQC- or close quarters combat. Though some classic aspects of gameplay have changed in the series, it still is a complex and challenging game for all the right reasons.
3) Excitement- A stealth game is still a medium of gaming that no one has shown to master as thoroughly as Kojima.
4) Plot and cinematics- A good story, and a neat ending. Cannot say more without spoiling it.
Great game!

The plot is very engrossing and takes you in right from the start. It takes place during in Cold War era Soviet Union. You control Naked Snake, a lone spy, tasked with rescuing a weapons scientist and assassinating his former mentor who has defected to the Soviet Union.
Having played the previous 2 installments of Metal Gear Solid it was a pleasure to see what Revolver Ocelot was like in his youth and what kind of relationship he developed with Big Boss. The cut-scenes in this game are quite cinematic; They are all rendered with the game engine. Hideo Kojima really knows how to direct a game (interactive movie, some might argue).
The only complaint I have with this game would be the fixed camera. But this isn't much of a problem in the improved version of this game, Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, in which we get a choice between a full 3D camera or the regular fixed one.
All in all this is a must-have for any PS2 owner.
Box is in peak condition, no cracks or wear. slight jacket damage due to being almost 20 years old.. otherwise immaculate shape. 100% score.
Thank you for having this in stock at such a great price.
This is one of the greatest video games ever made.
