Over the past few years, crowdfunding sites like Indiegogo and Kickstarter have revolutionized the idea of product development allowing consumers the ability to pledge money ahead of production in exchange for a discounted price.
Around the same time, live streaming has become the latest trend in social marketing as it has the benefit of immediate interaction with platforms like Facebook and Twitter (Periscope) putting a large focus on this capability.
In an effort to combine both concepts, ‘Kickstarter Live’ launched earlier today as an attempt to help simplify the communication through both sides of the campaign. This helps to ease the worries of potential backers via a live discussion with the creators giving them a chance to see the product in real world use and address questions/concerns.
