    Buy Two!
I have purchased two of these displays, and have been very satisfied with both purchases (first was in December 2013 and second was February 2015). I spent countless hours researching monitors (more than I would probably like to admit) and I am definitely glad I went with these. I have been using these monitors primarily for programming, along with some fairly light gaming.Pros: - Lots of screen real-estate (especially with two!), - Excellent color reproduction. - The anti-glare film is right in the sweet-spot. It does the job without going overboard. - Brightness is blinding, I keep mine at 0 and it still plenty bright! - Great price (about the same price as the Korean Ebay monitors, but much better features and stand!) - Connectivity is fantastic, lots of USB connections and plenty of input options. I primarily use display port. - The stand is as sturdy as your desk (my desk wobbles so the monitors will too if I begin typing really fast, not the stand's fault though). - The stand can also rotate 90 degrees, which is nice for viewing lots of lines of code at once, but being 27" and 16:9 aspect ratio it's very high vertically when rotated (to be expected). - Speaking of being rotated, this monitor maintains really great color and uniformity when rotated (due to AHVA/IPS). A piece of advice: If you are remotely interesting in rotating your monitor 90 degrees, buy an IPS-like display (PLS/IPS/AHVA), don't buy a Twisted-Nematic (TN) or Vertical Alignment (VA), those panels are better suited for gaming due to higher refresh rates, but at the cost of color uniformity and viewing angles.Cons: - Speakers aren't good, and I wouldn't rely on them at all. - The borders are bit excessive, but not terrible. - The second one I purchased is slightly different than the first. At some point the manufacturer changed their panels from In-Plane-Switching (IPS) to Advanced Hyper Viewing Angle (AHVA), the first was advertised as IPS and the second AHVA. To be honest, I thought the AHVA panel's colors were fairly off at first, but after extensive testing I found that the AHVA panel appears to be more accurate overall (IPS panel has a hard bias toward blue that I can't get rid of no matter how i adjust it without it turning completely red). Another difference was the first one had very little backlight bleeding, and the second had much more, but if you receive one that does, don't worry! It really wont affect the viewing pleasure at all, you will only notice it when turning on and off the display. - The first one I purchased has a slight, but noticeable high frequency pitch when viewing content with certain colors. Annoying, but not a deal breaker (especially if your ears aren't sensitive to high pitch sounds like mine are). Nonexistent in the second.I would suggest that if you are interested in purchasing two (or more) of these monitors, buy them together so that they are from the same production batch (hopefully). Also, I would say don't be weary of AHVA vs IPS, it has the same benefits (in my case AHVA is actually better than the IPS), and is only slight different technologically. So you're in good shape if you decide to purchase the monitor at the current time.TLDR; These monitors are a fantastic deal for the price. Resolution and color are great, with very little to complain about.I'm considering buying a third if I do a computer upgrade (13" MacBook Pro Retina gets a workout with just the two)!

1.0 out of 5 stars I am now deaf after using this monitor.

This just happened to me too!

Pros: Good price. Picture quality doesn't suck, has the resolution advertised. That's about it.

Cons: I bought two about a week and a half ago. One showed a vertical red-line on the screen after a week of use. See attached photo.

And now this morning, the second monitor started shrieking with a siren-like wailing / beeping noise. I first thought it was the PC, but after unplugging the speakers and turning off the laptop, it turned out it was the monitor! I do not have a sound recording of this. If I had my earmuffs nearby, I would have recorded it and posted that as well!

I've bought hundreds (not kidding, for work) of Acer monitors. There is something wrong with the quality control on these units.

Update (05/13/15): The monitor decided to go crazy beeping again the other day. This time, I decided to record it on video before unplugging the monitor. The sound in the video doesn't do it justice. It is a shrill, deafening beeping.
